bliv-empowers-the-biggest-datathon-in-itb-spark-telkomsel-2025
Bandung, February 15th, 2025 – The SPARK Telkomsel 2025 event has successfully wrapped up at Aula Timur ITB, establishing itself as the largest datathon held at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). This prestigious event brought together students, professionals, and industry experts to accelerate the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data management in Indonesia.
Bridging Academia and Industry Through Innovation
SPARK Telkomsel 2025 started as an initiative by the ITB Electrical Engineering Alumni Association, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and the industry. The event transcended a typical competition—it became a national-scale collaboration that focuses on real-world applications of AI and data technology.
Collaborating closely with the ITB Electrical Engineering Student Association, Telkomsel, Bangunindo Teknusa Jaya, and Google, SPARK evolved into a platform for innovation that emphasizes the critical role of data in AI development.
BLIV: The Data Management Platform Behind the Competition
As the primary AI-based data management partner, Bangunindo Teknusa Jaya introduced its flagship product, BLIV, during the event. BLIV is a low-code platform designed to simplify and automate data processes for organizations and enterprises, enabling smarter, faster, and more efficient data management.
BLIV provides an end-to-end solution, covering:
BLIV Pipeline for automating data flows
BLIV ETL for simplified extract, transform, and load operations
BLIV AI for AI model development and deployment
BLIV Dashboard for interactive data visualization
BLIV Monitoring for real-time system health checks
These features allowed SPARK Telkomsel participants to process and manage data seamlessly while building their AI solutions.
Empowering 283 Teams Across Indonesia
With support from Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, participants were able to build, train, and deploy AI models faster and more accurately. The datathon attracted 218 student teams from leading universities and 65 professional teams from various organizations across Indonesia.
